We use cookies

The Swedish Companies Registration Office's website uses cookies. If you visit a website that uses cookies, you must by law be informed that the website contains cookies, what they are used for and how you can opt out of them.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on the device you are browsing with, such as your computer or mobile phone. Cookies contain information and we use them to give you as a visitor access to various functions. A cookie can, for example, contain information about login or settings on the website. The information in the cookie can also be used to collect web statistics.

We use cookies

  • in our e-services, for example when you log in
  • to understand how visitors move to the site and where problems may arise
  • to develop our website and our e-services.

There are two types of cookies, permanent and temporary. A permanent cookie remains on the visitor's computer for a specified period of time. A session cookie (temporary cookie) is temporarily stored in the computer's memory while a visitor is browsing a web page.

We do not use the cookie for anything, but if you turn it off, you may find it difficult to, for example, email links to pages on bolagsverket.se, since the session ID is then placed in the link addresses. The cookie is deleted when you close the browser.

Cookies for web statistics

At the Swedish Companies Registration Office, we use Matomo as a statistical tool. Cookies set by Matomo helps us understand how the website is used and also if there are difficulties in our website. All data is collected and reported anonymously.

Cookies created by Matomo begin with:

  • _pk_id
  • _pk_ref
  • _pk_ses

_pk_id is set to save anonymised data linked to a unique visitor in order to be able to estimate the number of users and to adapt our e-services. The cake is stored for 12 months.

_pk_ref is set to be able to understand what content is interesting and how our e-services are used. The cake is stored for 6 months.

_pk_ses is set to understand how the visitor used the site during a session. The cake is stored for 30 minutes.
