- Bolagsverket registers the sole trader
1. Apply for registration
Use the form Registration as a sole trader, number 903 e, to apply for registration of a sole trader. If the sole trader registers with Bolagsverket, you gain protection for the business name in the county of registration.
If you have a Swedish electronic identification, you can apply online for registration as a sole trader. Please note that the information in the e-services is in Swedish only.
If you register online you can apply for an F-tax card and register for VAT accounting with the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) at the same time.
2. Submit additional details, if necessary
If something is missing in your application, you might need to submit additional details to Bolagsverket. At verksamt.se you can read and reply to emails from us.
3. Bolagsverket registers the sole trader
Bolagsverket decides to register the sole trader. Before registration Bolagsverket will, among other things, make a decision as to whether the proposed business name of the sole trader can be approved. Our processing time is normally about one to two weeks. When the sole trader business has been registered, we will send you a certificate of registration in Swedish.
Register with Skatteverket
A sole trader must register with the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). You need a Swedish personal identity number or co-ordination number when registering as a sole trader in Sweden.
